Sara Calandra, class of ’97, is an art researcher and curator from Milan, specialising in digital art connected to blockchain systems.
She graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Painting course and a Master’s degree in Communication and valorisation of contemporary artistic heritage from the Creative Communication for Cultural Heritage course. She is the first student to have defended her degree thesis within the Spatial and Over metaverse at the Brera Academy on the use of NFT in the artistic field and on the MetaBrera collective, the first academic purpose in Italy, on the didactic, pedagogical and cultural development related to NFT and Crypto Art of which she is co-founder and Art curator. In 2022, she developed experience at Reasoned Art srl, the first Italian gallery dedicated to Crypto Art; in the same year, she worked for the Casa degli artisti and Zona K on the realisation of the Podcast “Milano Bhoème-stories d’arte e di rivolta” under the guidance of the playwright Luca Scarlini. She curated the “Memorie di Antonietta Viganone” exhibition at the Orti Fotografici in Milan. To date, he collaborates in the curatorial field with great professionals such as Emanuele Dascanio, Paulo Renftle, Ilaria Stirpe, Metagate, the @D01_official collector and many others.
