Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open world game developed by Rockstar Games already available from 26 October 2018 for Playstation 4/Playstation 5 Xbox One/Xbox Series S/X and PC.
A success on the market and acclaimed by public and critics alike, the American software house’s work has sold millions of copies and won high praise on specialised sites around the world. Running for the Game of the Year at the Game Awards and considered by many to be the best open world videogame ever, worthy sequel to its predecessor, it features layered and deep gameplay worthy of the trademark Rockstar Games has accustomed us to, including the famous Grand Theft Auto among others. Beautiful landscapes, dangerous nature, it’s actually like seriously living and being in a old western movie, amazing game.
The western game set in late 19th century America puts us in the shoes of a gang member, but ours will not be the only gang in the game.
Finding all bandit hideouts
There is an exciting storyline to follow in the game, but it is also possible to freely explore a vast world, which the developers have embellished with various quests and collectables well distributed within the game map.
These include big fish to catch, which you can find here in our other game guides, collectible cards found in cigarette packets, treasure hunts full of dangers and unexpected situations, roadside assaults by bounty hunters chasing our gang, men taken prisoner by sheriffs who will ask for our help to be freed on the way to their cell in town, and much more.
These also include a group of linked quests concerning other gangs within the world on which a bounty hangs and which we can collect once we find and stop the dangerous bandits. So let’s see below how to find all the gang locations in Red Dead Redemption 2:
Lair of the O’Driscolls
Colm O’Driscoll’s gang will be the first one we meet within the game from the opening lines and is located north-east of Valentine, in Cumberland Forest. The exact location, as you can see in the screenshot below, Cumberland on the map.

Lair of the Lemoyne Gang
The Leymone Band is a group of nationalists from the far south at Shady Belle, southeast of Rhodes and east of Braithwaite Manor. To get there you can head south from Caliga Hall towards the Lannahchee River.

Lair of the Murfree Clan
In the mountains to the north you will instead come across Clan Murfree, who have a hideout west of Annesburg. You can find them west of the āAā of Annesburg on the map.

Laramie Lair
The Laramies are located northwest, past Wallace Station and north of Strawberry. To find their stronghold at the Hanging Dog Ranch you will have to go north of the āEā for West Elizabeth on the map.

Del Lobo’s Lair
The Del Lobo gang has two hideouts in Austin. The first is near the Montana River at Thieves Landing and south of Blackwater. The second, as fans of the first Red Dead Redemption will remember, is at Fort Mercer, south-west of Armadillo and southeast of Tumbleweed.

Extra bandit hideout in Twin Rocks
Anyone who has purchased the special edition of RDR2 has access to an extra bandit hideout at Twin Rocks, west of the map and northwest of Armadillo.

If you haven’t already done so, you can find our review of Red Dead Redemption here. No new DLC is currently planned, but you can satiate your hunger for westerns by downloading Red Dead Online, the multiplayer version of the game from Rockstar Games.
